Paris: From Lutetia to the Nation of Barbés.

This course conducted in English will survey major historical and literary

figures, political movements, monuments, urban development and music,

focusing on Paris. From a Celtic fishing village called Lutetia to the city

of cultural diversity and musical explosion symbolized by the group

“orchestre national de Barbés,” this course will explore multiple

representations of Paris and its legacy.
